Sri Lanka, September 16, 2025 — What a proud day for us at The Grassroots Foundation! Our very own Muhammad Abdullah lit up the stage in Colombo, scoring a stunning hat-trick to power Pakistan past Bhutan with a commanding 4-0 win in the opening match of the SAFF U-17 Championship 2025.
A Dream Start for Abdullah
From the first whistle, Abdullah showed exactly why he is one of the most exciting young players in our ranks. His first goal in the 15th minute settled Pakistan’s nerves and opened the floodgates. Just ten minutes later, he doubled the advantage with a clinical finish that left the Bhutanese defense chasing shadows.
After half-time, with Pakistan already in control, Abdullah refused to slow down. He completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute, sealing both the win and his place as the star of the match.
Between those goals, teammate Hamza Yasir added his name to the scoresheet with expectational 35 yards strike in the 67th minute, but this was truly Abdullah’s night — and the tournament has only just begun.
Pride for TGF
At TGF, we exist to identify, develop, and empower talent from across Pakistan. Abdullah’s performance is living proof of that mission. From training hard day in and day out, to now representing the nation and shining on an international stage, he has embodied the values of discipline, passion, and resilience we work so hard to instill.
For us, it’s not just about the goals. It’s about seeing a young boy who grew through our grassroots system, now inspiring countless others to dream bigger.
Looking Ahead
This victory is only the beginning of Pakistan’s SAFF U-17 journey. With confidence high and Abdullah in peak form, the team is already looking forward to their next group game on September 19.
As a foundation, we could not be prouder. Every goal, every cheer, every step forward — it’s all part of a larger story of what Pakistani football can achieve. And we’re just getting started.
From all of us at The Grassroots Foundation, congratulations to Muhammad Abdullah on a memorable hat-trick. The future is bright — and it wears green.
